Isn't this neat? ![]() We built a completely self-contained, easy to move demonstration unit that accepts any power supply able to fit inside. It protects folks with an acrylic encasement around the lifter, which has a sliding wall (lockable) which allows easy access to reset the lifter, reconnect wires, put out fires, etc... :) Beneath the encasement is the power supply housing. It is keypad protected for unattended moments, and has a push button remote attached to a long coiled wire for remote push-button activation of the lifter. Inside is any HV powersupply that can plug into standard 110volts. This internal receptacle is connected to a high amperage relay which is driven by an internal 12volt DC supply. This supply also drives the electronic keypad. This was built for a friend of mine who has already won his local and regional science fairs with the lifter we built (see previous page). He is now attending the State science fair and we intend on having a working demo that fits all the stringent safety requirements. Click on a thumbnail to see a larger image
